The Road to the US Open returns this summer to Washington DC
Washington DC tournament is "co-ed" - fans get to watch top men and women players together at one location!
Buy Online Tickets instead of Waiting-In-Line at the Box Office 1) SAVE TIME - "there are no lines when you order on-line".
You can get a price check instantly on the exact seat you want. Updated daily. Prices posted by other actual ticket holders who want to sell great seats.
Compare sellers and buyers prices without having to wait long lines. The best seats, even sold out ones are listed for you here. Why would anyone buy them at full retail price anymore??
2) Promo codes (2 for 1 deals and exclusive seats)
If you get to the box office and tell them you see this promo code online and can you please match it, their answer will be, please go online to Ticketmaster.com as we do not accept online codes
3) Get great seat tickets with less money and frustration
It is MUCH easier to use the 2-for-1 promo codes that come out each year. In my opinion, think of it as "an extra free ticket" for a friend.
4) Sell any extra tickets later (only buy online electronic tickets at TicketExchange)
This way you can transfer to friends via email, or sell them directly without mailing anything.
Personally, I think this is much better than risk getting in trouble with scalpers or police circling around the subway stop each year. Have you ever have tried standing there trying to haggle with someone over a ticket price? Especially when you're just going to miss more of the match every minute?! Trust me, it is not worth the hassle and frustration to waste time*
If you really want to get your tickets today, here is what I recommend...
Get your Labor Day Weekend tickets in early July and sell the session you don't use.
Consider buying a US Open Mini-Plan Option (which costs $100 upfront deposit), then sell your extra unused tickets on TicketExchange. Usually you will come out about even.
For Sept 2-4, Ashe Day Sessions, marked in bold below will typically go for around $40 with the 2-for-1 promo codes. They offer a full lineup of 4 matches per day to watch on virtually every court. **US Open Promo codes will be sent shortly to our Facebook fans who like our posts and US Open email subscribers.
This year will probably feature better seeded matches over Labor Day weekend (Sept 5-7) Sat/Sun/Mon on the top show courts. This includes Ashe, Armstrong and Grandstand plus a few possibly on Court 17. This is a very popular holiday weekend, and we have a pair of tickets to give away for one of our lucky fans / email subscriber. You should also be able to buy a Grounds Pass for these days for about $90.
If rain is in the forecast for the first week, then getting early 2nd week tickets (Sept 8-9) might be also be a great bet. The roof over Ashe is not yet completed; so expect any rained out matches to be pushed to the next day, if there is a total wash out.
Isn't Natural Gut expensive? YES! But, if you want need the most comfort for your arm and the best quality string on the market - it is the #1 string. Just try it once, and you may never go back*
On the other hand, if your strings are breaking too frequently - consider trying a polyester string or at least use a thicker gauge tennis string.
Now to compare the King of Gut Brands: The two most popular brands of tennis natural gut are Wilson and Babolat. This used to be a fairly equal comparison about 5 years ago...but now things have changed*
World Tennis Day - March 10, 2015
Roger Federer is back in NYC! 17 time Grand Slam Champion and arguably the greatest player of all time, will take on future star Grigor Dimitrov at the BNP Paribas Showdown. Update:
What a great match! One of the best exhibition matches I've seen in a while* Even though Dimitrov won - there were lots of hot shots all around. Here are some back-to-back 'tweener highlights by both players.
Also as part of the opening act, female tennis legends Monica Seles and Gabriela Sabatini will face each other. Learn more about World Tennis Day and celebrate the kick-off to the BNP Indian Wells Tennis tournament.
